Now it’s December, I consider it reasonable to offer my ChickenWired sculpture kits as the one present this Christmas that doesn’t need batteries, an app or an iPad. Instead the sculpture kits offer all the things that kids today can’t get enough of; patience, concentration, numerical visualisation and of course dexterity and motor skills.
Watch their faces light up when they realise not only do they have to make the sculptures, but they also get to cut the pieces required in the first place! With counting and double checking their new best friend.
The kits provide everything required to make and decorate a number of sculptures (including tools), are available through Etsy for £10 plus P&P and are suitable for anyone 8 years old & over.
The kits have been created following feedback from hundreds of school workshops and thousands of pupils and is a challenging and thoroughly absorbing craft.
